Anyone who travels to Haarlem by train has a beautiful view of the city while passing the bridge over the Spaarne. Night train
Every Friday and Saturday night an extra intercity is scheduled from Amsterdam to Haarlem at 02.50 am and 03.50 am. The last intercity trains from Haarlem to Amsterdam depart on Friday and Saturday night at 01:58 and 03:15.

Car
Those traveling to Haarlem by car benefit from various improvements to the motorways in the region. Travel time to Haarlem and traffic flow on the roads have improved considerably due to the renovation of the Velsertunnel and the diversion of the A9 motorway at Badhoevedorp. Traffic from the highways runs smoothly into the city via the A200, N205 and N208 to one of the many parking options in the center.

Parking
Haarlem offers more than 1,700 parking spaces in and around the city center. On Sundays and certain holidays you can park for free on the street in Haarlem. Paid parking applies on the other days. Please note that there is little street parking in the center. It is therefore best to park your car in one of the seven public parking garages. Bicycle
Are you coming to the center by bike? Then you can park your bicycle for free during the day in one of the guarded and covered bicycle sheds on the Botermarkt, Smedestraat or Tempelierstraat. You can use the bicycle basement at the station. You can find more information on the website of the Municipality of Haarlem. Furthermore, you can rent a bicycle at one of the bicycle rental locations in and around the city centre.

Walking
It does not matter if you arrive in Haarlem by train, bus or with your own transport, the last part will be covered by foot. The beautiful monuments, the picturesque streets, the half-hidden courtyards and the cozy shops make a walk through Haarlem an unmissable highlight. The small distances during the day ensure that the feet can effortlessly get off the floor in the bustling city center in the evening.
